Define several placements within a single IEP
When you follow the workflow a method of coordinating multi-step processes involving one or more users to create an IEP Individualized Education Program for a student, you define the first placement for that IEP. Sometimes, within a single IEP, you need to define more than one placement. For example, assume a student’s IEP begins in January, when he or she is in eighth grade. Then, upon entering high school in September, the student needs a new placement.
Note: Use the same process and form to enter IEP placements inside the school and outside the school. |
To define additional placements within an IEP year, do one of the following:
- If you know that the student will need more than one placement when you first initiate the IEP, create several placements in the initial workflow.
-
After you define the first placement, the next step in the workflow might be to Define additional placement. If you do not need to define an additional placement, click No additional placements. Otherwise, click the appropriate placement. The Define additional placement step continues to appear until you click No additional placements.
- If you need to define another placement after the IEP is active, create another placement form.
