Create immunization series
Student immunization records are stored as part of the student health record and contain all compliance information.
You can create or update an immunization series and apply the immunization to all student records. First, you must determine if the immunization can be managed individually or by series group. If the immunization is part of a group, create an immunization series group.
To create an individual immunization series:
- Log on to the Health view.
- Click the Immunization tab, and then click the Definitions side-tab.
- On the Options menu, click Add. The New Health Immunization Definition page appears.
-
- Enter a Series identifier and a Series name.
- If a student must receive the required doses of this vaccine, select the Is required checkbox.
Note: Any required immunization series appear on the immunization form, whether the student has received doses or not. |
- In the Required doses field, type the number of required doses.
- At the Categories field, click to select the category of immunization, such as Hepatitis A.
- At the Rule definition field, do one of the following (optional):
- Click to modify the immunization rule for this type of immunization. Make your edits to the XML eXtensible Markup Language. Click OK to save.
-
Note: Default definitions can be customized as needed.
- Click to upload an existing rule definition written in XML. Click Browse to locate your file, and then click Import.
- If you modified the rule definition, you must select the Custom checkbox so that future updates do not override your customizations.
- Click Save. Now, you can record student vaccinations in this series.
