Create building assignments

If you have buildings in your district that are shared between schools, you can assign them to a specific school for a given calendar year. Use Building Assignments to assign a building resource to a school. You can also copy assignments to future years.

To create a building assignment:

  1. Log on to the District view.
  2. Click the District tab, Schools side-tab > Building Assignments.
  3. On the Options menu, click Add.
  4. Use the following table to enter information in the fields:

    School year

    Click to select the school year.

    Note: If you know your building assignments for a future school year, you can assign them to that year without affecting the current school year.

    Name

    Click to select the school.

    Building code

    Type the code you want to use for the building. This is the text that appears in the Build view and School view when referring to this building.

    Building label

    Type the name for this building you want school staff to see.
  1. Click Save.

To copy building assignments to a future year:

  1. Log on to the District view.
  2. Click the District tab, Schools side-tab > Building Assignments.
  3. On the Options menu, click Copy School Building Assignments.... The Copy School Building Assignments pop-up appears.
  1. Use the Copy from drop-down to select the source school year.
  2. Use the Copy to drop-down to select the destination school year.
  3. Click OK.
