Import the IEP form

The IEP Individualized Education Program form is written using XML eXtensible Markup Language and imported into the Special Education view. Advanced users may edit the XML and import templates.

To import the IEP template a page with a predesigned, customized format, such as the Student Detail page:

1. Log on to the Special Education view.
2. Click the Admin tab.
3. Click the Forms side-tab.
4. Select the checkbox next to the form you need to import, and click Details on the Forms side-tab.
5. The Form Definition page appears. See Define or Edit the Details of an IEP Form more details on the Form Definition page.
6. Under the Advanced heading: The Post mapping, Storage query a request to find a group of records that match specific criteria at a particular time, and Storage values fields let you use XML to expand the capabilities of the form. Click to edit. Click to upload a file.

Notes: Use the Post mapping feature to pre-populate the form from or post data to other tables in the database. For example, you can use this feature to pre-populate a staff credentials update form with a staff member’s existing credentials. The Detail action field is used by the Aspen Development team.

7. Click Save.
