Rotate the schedule on the Workspace
After you build your master schedule and define rotation maps, you can rotate the master schedule. You must rotate the master before you commit.
To rotate the schedule on the workspace:
- Log on to the Build view.
- Click the Workspace tab.
- On the Options menu, click Rotation, then Rotate Schedule. The system confirms you want to continue.
Note: The rotation should run in less than a minute. The system automatically creates a copy of the current schedule and names it – current schedule (unrotated). This is done for safety; if there is an error in the rotation mapping (for example, dropped periods), you might ruin the schedule you originally built. If this happens, you can use the original, unrotated copy and try again. |
When the rotation is complete, for each section on the workspace, the system displays the rotated schedule in the schedule expression. For example, A(1-6) might become A(1) B(2) C(3) D(4) E(5) F(6).
