Create Build reference codes

Use reference codes codes used to validate the options users can select from at fields in the Build view to limit the values users can select in a field. For example, if you want users to select only Inclusion section or Bilingual section at the Section Type field, create those codes.

To create reference codes for the Build view:

1. Log on to the Build view.
2. Click the Global tab.
3. Click the Reference side-tab. The Reference Tables page appears.
4. On the Data Dictionary side-tab, click Reference. The Reference Tables list appears. This page lists the reference tables used in the Build view.
5. Select the checkbox next to the desired reference table.
6. On the Reference side-tab, click Codes. Any existing codes for that table appear.

Note: To modify existing codes on the list, click Modify List on the Options menu. Then, click  in the column header. Make any changes. When you click , the system displays how many values it updated in the system.

7. On the Options menu, click Add. The New Reference Code page appears.
8. Enter information in the fields.
