Enter health condition alerts for nurses to view

If a student in your care is dealing with a chronic health condition, such as epilepsy or diabetes, you might want to record that information so it is easy to access when the student comes to your office.

When you create a health condition record for a student in Aspen, the Health conditions alert icon appears next to their name.

This icon only appears in the Health view and is generally used by nurses as a reminder about a student's condition.

Note: If a student has a condition that teachers need to know about, such as epilepsy or diabetes, create a medical alert instead of a health conditions alert. Medical alerts appear next to the student’s name on the Student pages.

To enter conditions for students:

1. Log on to the Health view.
2. Click the Condition tab.
3. On the Options menu, click Add. The New Health Condition page appears.

5. Click Save.

Note: Student alerts must be manually deleted when they no longer pertain to the student.
