Setting Up Published Reports
The Published Reports widget gives users access to reports that were run and published by Aspen system administrators (and others who have 'write' access to the Report Delivery Job table). Users can download any of their reports for long-term storage by clicking on the file name.
It is possible to publish any report in Aspen. If a report has been configured to be publishable, users with proper access will see a Publish sub-tab in the report's pop-up when running it.
Before you can publish a report, you need to complete the necessary setup:
- Add the Published Reports widget to a page.
- Edit a report's details to make it publishable.
- Include advanced tokens in email messages.
- Edit the report's Java source.
- Verify that your email recipients have user accounts in Aspen.
- Modify a user role's privileges (optional).
Once you have completed all of these steps, you can move on to preview, test, and publish your report.
Note: Use the published reports feature for reports other than report cards or progress reports. It is a good alternative to sending email. For example, use it internally for attendance or |
