Tracking Accrual Time for Staff Members
Use Aspen to track your staff members' accrual time the amount of accumulated time off in a staff member's accrual bank. You can create an initial bank of accrual time for each staff member. Then, when you enter an attendance record, Aspen deducts the appropriate time from that individual’s accrual bank, based on the staff accrual type code you select.
Note: Your Aspen system administrator determines the appropriate time to deduct from a staff member’s accrual bank when creating the staff attendance codes and sets the Portion Absent for the code. |
To set up accruals in Aspen:
- Set the cutover date. This is the day you begin accrual banks for staff members in Aspen.
- Create staff accrual type reference codes.
- Add accrual time for individual staff members; or

Add accrual time for several staff members at once.
- Balance accrual banks.
- Run reports.
